What Is F&I (Finance and Insurance)?
Finance and Insurance (F&I) is one of the highest-margin departments in a dealership. F&I managers present financing options, extended service contracts, GAP insurance, paint protection, and other products. From a content perspective, F&I education content ("what is gap insurance," "lease vs buy," "pre-approval for car loans") captures high-intent search queries and builds trust before the buyer reaches the F&I office. Dealerships that publish F&I education content see higher product adoption rates because buyers arrive informed and less skeptical. F&I content also performs well in AI search because it answers common financial questions.
